The British Broadcasting
Corporation’s eastern relay transmitters operate from Masirah Island,
off Oman on a number of short wave frequencies and 1413 KHz medium wave.

Seeb International Airport 40 kms Northwest of Capital Area. Restaurant,
duty-free shop. Check in times - domestic 45 minutes, international - 60

There are regular domestic flights to the Southern area Salalah by Oman
Aviation Services.
Salalah International Airport is located 3 miles North of Salalah. The
airport is served by public transport and taxis. There is no duty-free
shop. Airport information - telephone 291016, Check in time - 60
minutes.
Personal Travel:
Taxi/car hire. Shared taxi services run between fixed points in the
Capital area and Salalah. An urban bus service operated by Oman National
Transport runs scheduled services into the Interior.
The main seaport for Oman is Mina Qaboos located in the Muttrah area of
the Capital region. The port is fully equipped for all kinds of cargo,
including containers. Other ports are Mina Raysut and Mina Al-Fahal.
Mina Raysut, 17 kms from Salalah serves the Dhofar region.
